Epilogue I have tried to distill my experiences into photographs, but the scientific work accomplished is a story to be told elsewhere, after data is compiled and analyzed. I was enriched by having this time to work in Bergen, and to explore many facets of this fascinating city, its landscape, and culture. As a geologist my work and interests often take me to places remote from cityscapes, traveling through cities without fully experiencing them, not seeing the flowers bloom. My thanks to those that assisted me in this journey, especially my host Haakon.
