The Fossli Hotel was completed in 1891 to house tourists coming to Vøringsfossen. It owns a Zimmermann piano where Edvard Grieg composed his Norwegian Folk Songs, Opus 66, in 1896, and is endorsed by several Norwegian automobile associations.
