It is raining as I leave Indianapolis and I-70, to start on US Route 36. I plan to follow US-36 for 1000 miles to Denver. It is mostly two lane blacktop, and passes through the countryside and small towns. The rain stops after a few hours, and I stretch my legs in Rockville, Indiana, the Parke County seat.
